CapWEM started a cooperation with the EU project named RALCEA - Latin American Network of Knowledge Centres in the Water Sector. RALCEA is funded by EuropeAid in the frame of the EU Water Initiativ

This document summerises the outputs of  the consultation process handled in May 2011 on post 2015 targets and indicators.  Four working groups were consituted: drinking water and sanitation, hygiene and equity and no discrimination.The full document is available here.

Misperceptions of the drylands as barren and empty are leading to their mismanagement. An IIED mapping project aims to create a clearer picture of their value to pastoralists.

"It's all in the mind," George Harrison once said. When most government planners look at Kenya’s Isiolo County, they see barren, dusty land. But pastoralists who live there see something else entirely. How do we know? It’s on their map.

This event is organized in the framework of the European Commission (EC) support project to the African Union/NEPAD Networks of Water Centers of Excellence implemented by the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC).

This workshop is the second of a series of three workshops to be held in 2013 in Western Africa tentatively:

The overall objective of the project is to support Cuba’s adaptation to climate change by improving the country's long-term food security, and so contributing to the country's sustainable economic and social development. To this aim, the project will include:
