Primer borrador con los lineamientos para el desarrollo del eje “Balance Hídrico Regional” del proyecto RALCEA. El documento incluye los objetivos de este eje, resultados esperados, actividades y lista de productos entregables.

WHO/UNICEF Progress Report on Sanitation & Drinking Water 2013

Some 2.4 billion people will remain without access to improved sanitation in 2015, according to a new joint WHO/UNICEF report. According to the report, the world remains off track to meet the Millennium Development goal (MDg) sanitation target.

This event is organized in the framework of the European Commission (EC) support project to the African Union/NEPAD Networks of Water Centers of Excellence implemented by the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC).

This workshop is the second of a series of three workshops to be held in 2013 in Western Africa tentatively:

1.      Abuja, Nigeria - February 11 – 15, 2013

2.      Accra, Ghana - April 22 – 26, 2013

Helping Indonesia to reach its 2015 Water Supply MDG: A WPP-funded Water Investment Roadmap to deliver water services to 56 million more people

While its economy expands, Indonesia faces steep challenges in delivering adequate water services to its growing cities. In order to meet its MDG target for water supply, 56 million more people need to gain access by 2015. Local governments, with a new mandate to provide services, have not been able to access capital for expansion. A funding gap of $4 trillion remains to reach the goal.
