It is given to any sector of business and industry. It recognises improved performance in production processes, new products, and management, as well as innovative approaches in water and wastewater process technologies which together help to improve the world water situation.

Call for papers - IWREC - 10th Annual Meeting International Water Resource Economics Consortium

The International Water Resource Economics Consortium (IWREC) is the premiere global platform for water economists to initiate, share, disseminate and debate new research on water economics. The IWREC 10th Annual Meeting (28-29 August) will be hosted by the Stockholm International Water Institute and held during the 2012 World Water Week in Stockholm. It will feature a Chief Economists Panel debate, keynote speeches and presentations from leading experts in the application of economic analysis in water management and decision making.

EU call for proposal- Promotion of the Millennium Development goals: Sanitation in poor peri-urban and urban areas in ACP countries

The International Seminar was co-organised by the French Water Academy and UNESCO drawing upon a steering committee constituted of 9 relevant institutions. This seminar aimed at identifying solutions to be forwarded to the 6th World Water Forum and to the main events of climate negotiations (Durban, Rio+20, etc.).

The side-event in COP17 (Durban 6th December 2011) presented the EUROCLIMA programme, aimed at combining science with Latin America´s policy makers in order to strengthen national and regional Climate Change initiatives. After an overview of the programme by the Regional Unit “Latin America and the Caribbean” of EuropeAid, the Technical Assistance presented the latest e-Newsletter dedicated to the theme of “Water and Climate Change in Latin America”.
